What To Expect On Your First Visit
On your first visit, you can expect a thorough examination and evaluation of your current condition. We will establish a diagnosis and a customized treatment plan will be created. In most circumstances, you will receive your first treatment that same day.
Referrals
Physical Therapy Specialists of Guilford invites you to call our office to schedule your initial visit whether or not you have a referral from your physician. Please be aware that while a referral is not legally required for physical therapy services in CT, some insurance companies do require a referral for payment. Our office staff is happy to help you understand if your insurance carrier will require a referral.
Please bring loose-fitting clothing and fill out the patient forms on this site to expedite your paper work. Please bring with you a list of your current prescribed medications and any over-the-counter medications you take regularly as well as your insurance card and a photo ID.

Insurance
Most medical insurances are accepted including but not limited to: Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Connecticare, TriCare, Golden Rule, Harvard Pilgrim, Worker’s Compensation and others.
