What To Expect On Your First Visit
On your first visit, you can expect a thorough examination and evaluation of your current condition. We will establish a diagnosis and a customized treatment plan will be created. In most circumstances, you will receive your first treatment that same day.
No Referral required
The state of CT does not require a referral for Physical/Occupational Therapy services. However, some insurance companies “do require” a referral for payment. Listed below are the most common insurance companies that require a referral.
- Medicare and Palmetto GBA - Railroad Medicare
- Humana
- Husky Medicaid
- Medicaid QMB
- Worker Compensation

- Your Physical Therapy Referral/Script, if applicable
- Your insurance card and Photo ID or claim number, if applicable
- Any relevant diagnostic reports you may have (for example, X-ray or MRI)
- And loose-fitting clothing

If you do not have insurance or do not want to use insurance, your care could be eligible for coverage under a self-pay option.
